Brand strategy

Formulating the essence of connection.

While they take your taste-buds on a journey around Contemporary Europe and serve you in unexpected Brisbane locations, at their core Da Biuso is about helping you create treasured memories with ones you love.

the approach

We set out to revive the era when world-class service was paramount. Inspired by old ticket stubs, signage and ink stamps, the Da Biuso brand resembles a journey into the rich tapestry of our glittering history.

Messaging

The spirit of Sicily and the love of family.

With Da Biuso, you never quite know what to expect, but you can be assured that whatever comes next will fill you with wonder and joy. So their communication style had to feel genuine and warm, with an air of refinement that reflects their deep passion for delighting their customers.

The new logo

Vintage nostalgia with a modern twist.

Da Biuso's logotype is inspired by vintage stamps, with each letter meticulously designed using an ink spread effect. This created an imperfect shape and natural feel that beautifully reflects their genuine fine dining experience, where real and raw ingredients take centre stage.

Where logistics and design combine.

Because of their unique venue, there were several logistical factors that needed careful consideration before taking action. We thoroughly explored every design element, carefully evaluating how it would come to life on the coach and what passers-by would experience as they witnessed it moving between locations.

Da Biuso’s brand evokes the elegance of vintage dining service, embodying the joy of culinary wonder.

Colours.

Natural, earthy tones were chosen for Da Biuso to reflect their commitment to using fresh, seasonal ingredients in every dish. These hues also provide a cohesive backdrop to the picturesque vistas you may be lucky enough to view while on board.

Typography.

Graphic elements.

Taking inspiration from bygone eras, we paid homage to the glamour of classic train travel. Capturing the essence of a time when dining was an art form and every occasion was one to be savoured.

Photography.

Embracing the theme of nostalgia, we used warm, welcoming images that offer an inside glimpse into the Biuso family, interior, and cuisine. We also included a Risoprint photo style featuring a green hue, to enhance the vintage feel across the site.

The new website

An inviting, vintage aesthetic.

Da Biuso launched to roaring success, rapidly growing a throng of loyal customers and we couldn’t be more proud to have helped them on their way.
