To truly stand out in the industry, the Ryno brand needed to be humanised to match their comforting approach to service and appeal to a new market of motor enthusiasts. Their personal nature had to shine through every colour, graphic, and word associated with their brand while staying true to the core values of their parent company.

By clearly defining their ideal customers we were able to craft down-to-earth messaging that radiates a sense of comfort and safety at every touch point. Introducing the use of words like “mate”, “dedicated”, “family-owned”, and “protecting” created a sense of kindship between expert and enthusiast.

The new logo

Shifting to top gear.

The rhino is known for its wisdom and strength. So is Ryno. They have your back, guide you, and protect you when there’s trouble on the road.

Confidence. Strength. Dedication.

Staying true to their roots was important to the Ryno team, so we designed a logo that reflected their personality while signalling to the world they were ready to take their brand to the next level.

Visual language

The new brand redesign brought Ryno into it's next era, elevating the brand while ensuring it felt familiar.

Colours.

We chose a striking complementary colour pairing of Azure blue with the original Orange – to shift Ryno into their new era in a fresh and surprising way.

Typography.

The typeface was chosen to reflect the brand’s bold, modern, strong, and approachable personality.

Graphic elements.

Using soft edges on angular shapes gives a feeling of movement and energy – while maintaining a sense of comfort and warmth.

Photography.

Uncovering a photography style that would set Ryno apart from the bigger players required an in-depth creative process. A candid, journalistic style of photography was selected to celebrate Ryno’s “real life” clients and their beautiful vehicles. The result is a genuine, insider look at motor vehicle life in Australia.
